From 28 January through 5 February, Group Vrebos will be having a stand at the Building and Interior Decoration Fair ‘Wonen’ in Mechelen. During a full week, our salesmen will be ready to answer all your questions. At our stand you will get a taste of all the various profiles for windows and doors that we offer. Vrebos at the Vlaamse Druivencross

Last Sunday, Sven Nys won for the 2^nd time in a row at the Vlaamse Druivencross. After a thriller race, he finally claimed victory well ahead of Bart Aernouts and Klaas Vantornout. Thanks to his second victory in a row, the coming three years Sven Nys stands a chance of winning the Group Vrebos challenge cup that comes with a prize of windows and doors worth as much as 12,500 euro. This means that the coming years Sven Nys has an extra reason to be at the Vlaamse Druivencross. However, other riders like Niels Albert and Kevin Pauwels too continue to stand a chance of winning this challenge cup. We sure can expect some thrilling bike races in our Druivenstreek!

Vrebos supports OHL

At last, after more than 60 years, Leuven has a football team playing in the premier league again. Needless to say that this is an opportunity that could not be missed at Vrebos. Therefore Vrebos is very proud to be OHL’s official sponsor. In doing so, we wish to highlight our presence in the Leuven area once more. Each time OHL will be playing their home games at the “Den Dreef” stadium, our logo will often be seen. And apparently Vrebos is bringing luck because OHL started off by winning at home vs the big Anderlecht. What a way to kick off the season!

Batibouw hits the nail on the head!

Batibouw was a great success this year. Our stand was colourful and interactive thanks to the fresh, new look together with our animated penguins. With 336,000 visitors the biggest building trade fair in Belgium looked set to having a record year. All the more reason for our sense of satisfaction as we headed for home. We would like to thank our clients and suppliers for visiting our stand in Palace 4. We look forward to seeing you again next year at a new Batibouw and a completely new stand!

Overijse, 30 January 2010. When you stand still, you go backwards. That is why Vrebos, the window and door specialist, is continuously working on developing itself further. The company is doing that by a radical restyling in both the commercial and technological areas. Starting immediately, a new, fresh logo will be visible on all the company vehicles and the website (www.group-vrebos.be) has also been given a total make-over. “The new identify gives us a modern and new image,” says managing director Donald Vrebos.

New website and new look at Batibouw

“That new and fresh look is very important for us and is being rolled out officially at Batibouw,” according to Donald Vrebos. “It shows that we are continuing to evolve. We are also always looking for news ways to communicate and to keep in touch with our clients more easily. That is why we are launching our new website.” The changes are not limited to a new website, however. “We are looking at it more broadly, as well,” he says. “In spite of the difficult economic times, we are a company that continues to grow every year. In both 2008 and 2009, we had turnover of €10 million.” You can find Vrebos at Batibouw in Brussels from 25 February to 7 March, in Palace Four.

Penguin as symbolic mascot

During Batibouw, the newest member of the Vrebos family will also be introduced to the public. It’s a penguin, the company’s new mascot. “It may seem like a strange choice at first sight,” Vrebos says. “But there are a lot of parallels. The penguin gets its strength from good insulation, just like we do. There are gifts for the children in the shape of penguin at our stand, too.”

Active in the Druivenstreek region

Vrebos wants to put more emphasis on its profile in the regional clubs and associations. “We are going to be more active in supporting local initiatives in the Druivenstreek,” Donald Vrebos continues. “Up until now, we have been active during the Druivencross and Druiven Festival, but we want to expand our activities in this area selectively in the future.” You read it here….nothing is going to be the same as it was. “Don’t worry. A lot is changing, but we’re not changing our principles a bit,” Vrebos assures us. “Vrebos still stands for quality and craftsmanship at a fair price. Vrebos will continue to focus on the production and installation of exterior joinery.”

Press: Vrebos celebrates 30th anniversary with third location

Overijse/Gembloux/Zaventem, 18 May. The 30th anniversary of Vrebos was celebrated in style last Saturday in the Skyhall in Zaventem. Only three years after the company expanded with the opening of the location in Gembloux, the window and door manufacturer is expanding again. The company announced on Saturday that it would start construction of a third location which will create new employment. Even during these difficult economic times, the company is continuing its growth.

“We need a third location to have the capacity be able to continue to meet the demand for PVC production,” says founder and managing director Donald Vrebos. “We have grown quickly over the years. In 2008, we achieved turnover of €15 million. With only our production units in Overijse and Gembloux, we will no longer be able to meet the rising demand from the market over the foreseeable future,” he added.

New jobs

The new location, which should be operation by mid-2010, means that the company will be creating new jobs again. At this time, Vrebos employs 90 personnel, a big change from exactly 30 years ago when it started as a one-man operation in Overijse, near Brussels. “We don’t want to say how many jobs just yet, but to keep production running like a well-oiled machine, extra positions are a definite possibility,” Vrebos said. In the future, Vrebos will be expanding its production activities significantly and will continue to focus on the production and installation of PCV and aluminium exterior joinery work.

Complete rebranding

During the celebration of its 30th anniversary, the company also announced that it was stopping the use of its old name, Vrebos-Stas, and would be known in the future as Vrebos. A new house style has been developed and starting today it will give the company a new and fresh look. “We have taken advantage of the occasion to create a new logo,” Vrebos said. We want to evolve…not only with our products, but also in terms of communication. We chose a modern look-and-feel that matches what we are: a dynamic and hard-working team.”
